A Darker Shore - excited to read, bummed I was spoiled.
To be clear, I wasn’t spoiled by anyone here on Reddit! All the posts I’ve seen on here have been really thoughtful about labeling spoilers for others.
It was someone who creates Six of Crows art and comics on Instagram. Their work is amazing, hence why I followed them a long time ago. I just didn’t expect them to post spoiler art for A Darker Shore two days after it released.
Apparently this person got to read the book a couple weeks early, which is awesome for them! I just wish they had been mindful that not everyone had a chance to read A Darker Shore right when it came out. (And if they couldn’t bring themselves to wait to post spoiler art, I wish they would’ve labeled it as a spoiler in the caption at least.)
Anyway, I can’t undo what I saw, and I still plan to read A Darker Shore very soon. It’s just a bummer that I wanted to vent about.
