Found this beautiful baby woodpecker screaming this morning below its nest. It looks uninjured but its nest hole is so ridiculously high up I don’t know how it lived. I’ve left it alone since it seems okay. The poor baby is so frightened 😭

I found this moth at work walking on the ground. I picked it up and put it somewhere safe. Its wings are all shriveled up like maybe it just hatched or it’s possible it just got wet as it was near a puddle. It is covered in these odd green droplets that weren’t on it at first. Any idea what the droplets are? I am also curious what type of moth it is. We are in western North Carolina.
