PMP Behind Me! 🚀 Passed on 29 May (And yes, I wore blue!) 💙

Passed my PMP on Friday, 29th May! Ending May with a bang and a great milestone! honestly, I didn’t feel completely confident going in and felt like I needed more time to study, but I am so glad I just pushed through, took the leap, and now it is finally behind me! 🚀 I began my 35-hour PDU course at the end of April, but I had already been watching DM and AR's videos beforehand, which gave me a great running start. In total, I only had about a month to fully study. Since I work full-time, I had to dedicate almost my entire weekends to studying. This community has been incredibly helpful to me, so as a way of giving back, I wanted to share a few quick tips and exam insights. 📋

First off, mindset is absolutely king. AR’s 50 Mindset Principles and Third3Rock’s (MR) Mindset Notes are absolute gold, and DM’s Udemy PMP course and drag-and-drop practices were incredibly helpful. I skipped AR’s ultra-hard questions and focused mainly on PMI Study Hall, DM’s videos, and AR’s YouTube videos. Study Hall is a must because it keeps you in the right frame of mind. I purchased SH Plus but only did two full mock exams just to build up my endurance and focus for the real deal. I supplemented it with Thirdrock (Buy me coffee) and DM's notes. 🧠 Even with over 10 years of PM experience, a SAFe certification, and a CSM, mastering the PMI Mindset was the most critical factor for me. The real world is very different from how PMI wants you to answerAs for the actual exam experience, the questions were not actually as long as I expected. I got lucky with a lot of drag-and-drop questions (more than 10, I think!), three graphs, and only one calculation. For those of you taking the exam soon: Good luck, stay focused, and you got this! 💪 P.S. Yes, I absolutely wore blue! 💙 Because why not?!
