Legal Internship
Location: California. I am currently an undergraduate student who was looking for a law-related internship, as it is something that I want to learn more about for my career. I came across Nationwide Immigration LLC; it is a small law firm located in Washington D.C created by Kelmer Neeves. They are primarily focused on immigration-related cases. A few things struck me as odd during the interview; I was not asked very many questions, and was offered the role on the spot. I was asked to sign a document if I was interested, and in the document, my role seems to be more of an independent contractor arrangement, rather than an internship. I am interested because if I bring in clients, I would have an opportunity to learn paralegal-related tasks, but I'm honestly unsure about whether or not this is a good opportunity or not. I haven't worked in any law-related areas before, so this opportunity would be my first foot in the door. Does anyone know anything about them?
