J-1 Visa Questions - Exchange Student
Anyone have any experience with filling out DS-160 in one country then booking an interview in another? For context I'm a student in Australia but I will be flying back home to NZ right after my exams. I'm aware that it is suggested to fill out the application in your place of residence but I'm thinking if I wait to fill it out in NZ in June, I won't have enough time to get my visa as my term is starting in August.
Has anyone had any issues with social media screening with accounts they no longer have access to? For example, my linkedin has been deactivated (or at least i think) and I cannot access it due to security verifications problems. Do I still list this on my DS-160 as publicly I cannot see my account is active. Same with alternative linkedins i've tried to make which have also been locked.
I also have a deleted X account which was by accident cause I didn't know it automatically gets deleted after 30 days if you deactivate it. But I made a new one under the same username.
