Nayax issues with Qibixx MDB
Has anyone experienced intermittent USB disconnects with a Nayax VPOS Touch setup?
I'm troubleshooting a photo booth that uses a Nayax VPOS Touch for payments and a Qibixx MDB-USB interface for MDB communication.
The system works normally for a while, but then communication drops unexpectedly. In Windows Event Viewer I repeatedly see:
"Device USB\VID_16D0&PID_0BD7\0 has been surprise removed as it is reported as missing on the bus."
A few moments later, Windows reloads the usbser driver for the same device, which makes it look like the MDB-USB interface is disappearing and reconnecting.
What I've observed:
- Multiple "surprise removed" events before the connection is completely lost.
- The issue occurs with different USB cables.
- MDB Utility eventually loses communication.
- The device appears to disconnect and reconnect at the Windows level.
I'm trying to determine whether this is:
- A Nayax VPOS Touch issue
- An MDB power/voltage issue
- A Qibixx MDB-USB issue
- A known compatibility problem between these devices
Has anyone seen similar behavior or found a reliable fix?
Any suggestions or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated.
