PSA for drivers giving way to buses when they're departing a bus stop
When you're giving way to a bus taking off from a bus stop, let the bus go first.
Don't battle with it and try to move off at the same time as it.
I've had this a few times lately where a car has stopped to let me out when my right indicator is flashing but as I'm moving out, the car is trying to move off at the same time with some speed.
Its confusing and borderline dangerous.
I've had to stop or slow down the manoeuvre because I'm not sure whether the car driver behind actually wants to let me go or not and at the same time, the car behind stops too so we're now in this back and forth. So either commit to letting us out or just don't at all.
It doesn't help that some drivers don't make it known that they're letting us out by flashing lights or giving hand signals/waves.
Also depending on the bus we're driving, it takes time for the bus to move off even if you've got your foot all the way on the pedal so just be a bit patient.
