I created the 10,000th YouTube summarizer and got 20 users.
I built yet another YouTube summarizer and somehow got 20 users.
Didn’t validate the market, didn’t do SEO research, didn’t look for a smart niche.
I just wanted a tool for myself: summaries, questions about the video, and a clean transcript view.
It uses Gemini under the hood.
Took me about 4 weeks, working 3–4 hours a day.
Marketing-wise, I did basically nothing. Also, picking “YouTube summarizer” was probably a terrible idea because the competition is insane.
Still, I use it almost every day and I don’t regret building it.
