Struggling to find a scent I love after getting into clones.
Soo I should probably start by saying I’ve been buying designer fragrances for a couple of years now. Nothing too crazy (JPG Le Beau Le Parfum, YSL Y, Invictus, etc.) But at the start of this year I discovered the whole clone fragrance industry, and honestly… I think I may have gone a little overboard already.
The funny thing is I still don’t really feel like I’ve found my signature scent yet, or something i fell in love with. I have stuff I like and a few that I thought that would be “the one” when I first got them... but after a while the hype kind of fades and I’m back to looking for new or good rated releases again.
Here's a list of all fragrances I have currently in random order:
Afnan Supremacy Collectors Edition, Rayhaan Italia, Hawas Ice, Vulcan Fue, Liquid Brun, Nitro Red, Nitro White, Nitro Elixir, Royal Blend Nero, Royal Blend Sequoia, 9PM Night out, Asad Bourbon, Khadlaj Island, Lattafa Atlas, Musamam Black Intense, CDNIM, Ignite oud, CDN Untold and also a box of around 30 decants of different popular clone fragrances I dont own yet.
Right now, the ones I enjoy most are probably:
- Rayhaan Italia (Even though i find the opening very medicinal and synthetic)
- Ahmed Al Maghribi Ignite Oud.
But even those feel more like “I occasionally like wearing this” rather than “this is my signature.”
Some that disappointed me:
- Supremacy Collectors Edition: too citrusy for my liking
- Dumont Nitro Elixir: very funky/weird opening and doesn’t last on me( I did like MYSLF L'Absolu when I tried it instore, but don't feel like those resemble)
Maybe I’m just overthinking it, but I’m curious: based on this collection, what would you recommend I try at this point? If it’s helpful, I can also provide my ratings for some/everything. Any advice or recommendations is appreciated!!
