I just updated to 5.3.2 (Final) on my Google TV Streamer 4K and I can attest that backup and recording now works to external storage. Firestick owners didn't have this issue because of the older version of Android. But finally, the app has been updated to be compatible with the latest version of Android file access. This has been on my want list since 4.7. Thank you to the developer for finally making this happen! 💪

I just got the beta yesterday and now it seems that Tivimate isn't even on the Google Play store anymore again. The beta did not fix the external storage on newer Android models. I was going to give some feedback today but the link fails. Even the one directly from their website doesn't work. Not good. It likely means that 5.3.0 still doesn't meet the new Android API standards.
