Some Nyabootmon lines

Some Nyabootmon lines

Some lines were inspired from the comments left on this post.

I was never a huge fan of Nyabootmon’s original line.
With that I don’t mean that I dislike Shoemon or its line. I just don’t like Nyabootmon being an alternative Mega for it. That’s why I’m trying to find different options.

Looking at these lines (especially the Mikemon one), I personally think that the only thing we’re missing to make the perfect evolution line for the Puss in Boots Digimon is a fitting Ultimate cat.

The few ones we have (like Bastemon, Meicrackmon and Betsumon) don’t really feel appropriate for Nyabootmon, at least in my opinion.

Until something changes, I guess I’ll stick to the Pandamon one.
What about you? You have a personal favorite?

The Three Faces of Asura

I had already thought about this concept some time ago, but Habakirimon's reveal inspired me to revisit it.

The idea is that Asuramon will evolve into a different Mega depending on which one of his three faces (which represent Wrath, Joy and Sorrow) is more dominant.

I have two versions of this.
In the first one we can see Asuramon eventually evolving into a six-armed Asura.
In the second one, by harmonizing all of his emotions, he eventually reaches enlightenment and evolves into Shakamon.

Do you think Piximon —> Nyabootmon works? Any suggestions on how to complete the line?

It is surprisingly difficult to slot Nyabootmon in a cat/feline-themed line, so I was trying to make a more whimsical (and possibly with an underlying fairytale theme) line for them and thought that maybe Piximon would work as an Ultimate.
Would prefer if the Rookie and Champion weren’t straight up fairies or pixies like Piximon, otherwise Nyabootmon would stand out too much.

"White" Spirit of Darkness

In the back of my mind, I was vaguely aware that some of the Legendary Spirits have dubiously official recolors that appeared exclusively in the game "Battle Spirits: Digimon Frontier", but I never looked closer into it.

Very recently though, I learned that Löwemon and KaiserLeomon have a white and a light gray alternate coloration respectively.
Looking at them, I immediately thought of Spadamon and how good they could work for the little guy.
Then Habakirimon was revealed and this concept fully took shape in my head.

I reasoned that he would be an excellent stand in for the Transcendent form, especially because he , just like KaiserGreymon and MagnaGarurumon, wears armor that's also present on Susanoomon.
Not only that, but Habakirimon, being named after a legendary sword wielded by Susano'o no Mikoto, feels like a really good Mega for Spadamon, who is a Legend-Arms Digimon capable of turning into a sword.

The only problem was that Raihimon didn't have a matching recolor to go with Löwemon and KaiserLeomon's, so I eventually decided to take it upon myself to create the missing white and gray Raihimon, and honestly I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, even though I don't usually like using unofficial recolors in evolution lines.

really like how this line flows, though it's a bit of a shame that it's mostly composed of Digimon whose canonicity is dubious at best.
I mean, they do exist, just not with these colors with the exception of a single occurrence.
'White'Raihimon is the only one that's completely made up, but at least his existence is implied in a roundabout way.
After all, it would make sense if the fusion of two recolors also resulted in a recolor, wouldn't it?

What do you all think? Do you like this line?

Concept: Craniummon with different weapons.

In a previous post I made, I went over the properties of Black Digizoid and the abilities it granted to its users, with Craniummon and HeavyMetaldramon being the only two known ones.

Before, I was under the wrong assumption that Black Digizoid gave its wearer access to a hammerspace of sort, or that the alloy could literally store items inside of itself. When HeavyMetaldramon profile was released, It was made clearer that instead the black metal has inherent “shape-changing abilities”.

People helped me understand that what Craniummon is doing does technically qualify as molding his Black Digizoid armor into his iconic weaponry. But while HeavyMetaldramon can apparently use the shape-changing metal to unleash diversified attacks (without being too specific about what its limits are), Craniummon has only ever been seen generating his magic spear and shield.

Now, there are multiple possible explanations as to why that’s the case. Maybe Bandai hadn’t fully figured out the full scope of Black Digizoid when they first introduced it. Maybe Craniummon is more restricted compared to HeavyMetaldramon, but what few things he can create are of incredibly superior quality compared to anything the rocker dragon can make. Or maybe he can create different weapons, but he simply doesn’t do so because his regular equipment best suits his own specialized fighting style and/or because he’s too honorable to change his weapon mid-fight.

Assuming the last option is correct, I came up with different weapons that Craniummon could potentially use, while still using the original as a basis. The idea isn’t even that he can create ‘new’ weapons per se, but rather that he’s slightly modifying his magic spear to best suit a particular situation.

After all, if a character has access to an extremely rare shapeshifting metal, it would be kind of a waste if they can only use to create just two things, especially when the one other known user seems to have no such limitations.

Because of this, I used my very rudimentary editing and drawing skills to showcase how this concept would work in practice.
Here’s the three different weapons for Craniummon I managed to came up with: a more classic version of a spear, two separate blades for him to dual wield and a greatsword.

What do you all think of this concept?

What is up with HeavyMetaldramon and Black Digizoid in general?

I had this thought for a while now, but I was kinda surprised how no one else (to my knowledge) has brought it up until now.

Craniummon and HeavyMetaldramon are the only two Digimon to have Black Digizoid armor.
Black Digizoid, like the other alloys, has particular properties to it, yet the knight and the rocker dragon seem to have completely different abilities derived from this metal.

Up until 2024, Craniummon was the only example of a Digimon with the black variant of Chrome Digizoid, so we only had him as a basis to determine the properties of that metal.
According to his profile and the feats he showed in his appearances in various media, Craniummon can store and generate a weapon and shield from its armor by accessing his data.

With HeavyMetaldramon, however, Black Digizoid seems to serve a different purpose, with its profile stating: “Its appearance belies the variety of fighting styles it specializes in when it comes to battle; this includes a thunderous roar that can shatter the earth, power that utilizes its huge, heavy body, and attacks that capitalize on the shape-changing ability of Black Digizoid.

First of all, what does that even mean? It’s not too uncommon for official profiles to include vague-sounding information that leaves a lot to the imagination. There are cases where until an ability is shown “on-screen” we don’t have a clear idea of what it looks like. But HeavyMetaldramon was the main protagonist’s partner Digimon in the Digimon Liberator webnovel! It had a lot of (written) screen time and a lot of dedicated cards in the TCG, yet not once (again, as far as I know) did Bandai depict it using this ability despite all the opportunities they had to do so!

What would it even look like? Is it capable of growing metallic spikes all over its body? Can it change the shape of the blades on its arms? Can it make its claws/tail sharper and/or longer? It’s so vague it’s frustrating!

Secondly, now we have two very distinct abilities that Black Digizoid seems to possess or grant to its wearer.
On some level, I can kinda understand why the Black Digizoid worn by Craniummon specifically might have special properties, with it having been created (or “blessed” in a sense) by Yggdrasil, but the way HeavyMetaldramon’s profile phrases things bothers me a little.

Maybe that’s me inferring too much, but the profile makes it sound like “shape-changing” is an intrinsic, natural property of Black Digizoid. Something that everyone who uses it would have access to as well. Does this mean that Craniummon also has it? Is this a case of the lore being expanded? Will we see Craniummon having access to shape-changing powers (whatever that means) in the future? Or maybe he will throw an offhand comment about how he’s able to do so but doesn’t see the need to because his armaments are superior?

>!Having said that, I have to admit that the mental image of Craniummon suddenly turning one of his hands into a spiked mace (like Sandman from Marvel) or something similar is kinda dope.!<

In summary, I would like to ask you what you think HeavyMetaldramon’s shape-changing powers entail and if this addition to the characteristics of Black Digizoid might imply that Craniummon could possibly have them as well.

Theory: How Atratusmon will appear in Beatbreak (spoilers for newest episode)

I believe that the new antagonist, Souji Kuroshio, is the key to Gekkomon dark evolving into Atratusmon.

Of course, they could just go with the tried and true method, that is with Tomoro being overwhelmed by negative emotions after someone hurts his family, forcing Gekkomon to Dark Evolve into his Mega level.

However, I think there is an alternative, more interesting scenario in which Atratusmon can manifest.
What if, instead of Tomoro, it is Souji that triggers the evolution? What if, in a future episode, to get a reaction from Kyo in the hopes of getting him to “quench his thirst” like he did in the past, Souji targets his newfound family? What if he steals Gekkomon from Tomoro, like he did with Lilamon?

This way, by infusing his own E-Pulse into Gekkomon, he could corrupt him as well, eventually turning him into Atratusmon. Also, now that Souji has the White Core, he actually has the means to supply enough energy to trigger a Dark Mega Evolution.

Now, there are a few potential flaws in my theory. The “Kyo’s Arc” is only 4 episodes long. I guess that means it’s likely that Souji will be defeated by the end of it. Still, with Kyo being the main focus, it stands to reason that the arc will probably end with Murasamemon evolving his own Mega form. So introducing Atratusmon as well in the same few episodes? I dunno. Might be too far fetched >!though the Card Game did introduce Atratusmon And Habakirimon together after all…!<

Still, the concept could still work, I think. In episode 38, Kyo was shown kneeling in front of some graves, hinting to the fact that he has lost some people that were important to him, possibly with Souji himself being the culprit. So him stepping up with newfound resolve when the same individual threatens his new family feels like it could be a very powerful moment.

In summary, I propose that, in the next episode, Souji will remain unsatisfied with his reunion with Kyo, with the latter being unable to satisfy him like he did before, so he’ll attack the Golden Dawn to get a rise out of Kyo and force him to give him what he wants. He will take control of Gekkomon (possibly Pristimon and Chiropmon as well), and force him to Dark Evolve into Atratusmon. To save his family, Kyo will finally be able to make Murasamemon evolve into Mega, defeating Atratusmon and freeing him from Souji’s influence.

What do you all think? Is there any chance of this happening?

Pandora’s Box of Perils

Just noticed how similar Mimicmon’s labels are to the talismans on the Shikyoju.

Giving every Aegiochusmon a Mega

Initially I wanted each variant to have a completely unique Mega, but I just can’t ignore how good both Kidmons look next to Aegiochusmon “Red” and Dark.
If I had to choose a different one, then I would substitute Magna Kidmon with Dorbickmon.

Trying to give each Aegiochusmon variant their own Mega

As the title says, I want to give a dedicated Mega to each Aegiochusmon variant. I think I got Blue and Green locked in, while for Holy I’m keeping Jupitermon. The two are clearly meant to go together, more so than the other forms.

I can’t however quite decide on the Megas for “Red” and Dark. I narrowed it down to two options for each. I think the two Kidmon work incredibly well for both Red and Dark, but it irks me using both, as I wanted each Mega to feel unique. So I need to decide who gets the Kidmon and who doesn’t.

I would like to ask for your opinions. There are 4 choices:

  1. MagnaKidmon and NeoMyotismon;
  2. AvengeKidmon and Dorbickmon;
  3. Dorbickmon and NeoMyotismon;
  4. Propose an alternative to one or both of them.

If you go with 4 I have a couple of criteria: they need to match the color and theme of the variant (dragons for Red and “Evil” for Dark) and it would be highly preferable if they look somewhat armored, as if Aegiochusmon’s armor covered the rest of his body upon evolving (which is why DoneDevimon isn’t among the options. He doesn’t look armored enough in my opinion).
Thanks in advance.

From scaredy rabbit to valiant warrior

Asked for suggestions in the last post. Put my favorite ones (+ a couple more) in here.

Honestly I’m having trouble picking a favorite one. They all look nice.
Guess I slightly prefer Antylamon as the Ultimate. The Champions all work on some level.

In any case, thanks for the help!
