What is meant by that is my dm during combat will not go by the "bloodied" rules or tell me if I can even gleam anything off my enemy. He says if its impossible he won't make me roll for it, so I don't get to roll perception or insight to see how hurt my opponent is. Which sucks because im a battlemaster and I wanna know if its worth it to use my superiority die or if my target is at 1hp. This has happened 3 separate times I used the dice and he's like it doesn't matter he's dead. I think he thinks its funny or something and its not a huge deal just a gripe but man it sucks when it happens.
