[Hiring] I am making a fast, chaotic battle-simulator game. I need a game artist.

I am making a battle simulator game where you play cards to summon waves of units to hold the line against massive swarms of enemies. Please watch this video to see the gameplay. https://www.reddit.com/r/IndieDev/comments/1tags08/i_made_a_grey_boxed_game_but_what_should_the_art/

It is finally time to start developing the artwork 🎉

Notes about the game:
- The game is made in a custom C# engine so that I could have full control over the spatial partitioning and physics to maximize performance in a way not possible in Unity or UE5. In the video above (not the image), it reaches 12,000 rigidbodies doing physics calculations.

- The theme, style, and art direction are all currently undecided. I was hoping that whoever I choose to hire could help me to find this.

What I am needing:
- Please do not message me if you are not an experienced game artist. There won't be enough time to onboard great artists who have an interest in game art but have never done it before.
- I would like to hire a mid-level or senior artist. I'm already a junior-level artist, and you can be my "boss" in this regard.
- Our strengths, personalities, and artistic identities should synergize well with each other

What you will be doing:
- Initially, we must establish style, art direction, and theming
- Once we do that, then we create the art assets for the game

Regarding commitment:
- For the first couple of weeks, 5-10 hours a week
- Once trust is established, we can talk about working for more hours (10-20 hours) and/or signing a contract (or not, depending on your preferences)

Regarding pay:
- My budget is $10,000, and the pay will be by the hour.
- The rate will depend on seniority level. My target is $40 per hour. However, I am flexible. If your rates are more or less than this, then I will still work with you.

This was taken in the Alamosa desert last spring. It was approx. 60 degrees fahrenheit at the time. I really like this photo, it turned out nice.
