Clean out day and of course there is always one who does not want to make it easy for me… but why is it always him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Neither is over handleable (getting better) so i like to move them without trying to grab them as it takes weeks to get their trust back. So i just put them in the sand bath to transfer over to their clean out tub. Ernie always obliges when asked (for the price of a pumpkin seed. But eric has to have a good explore before he will (only 10 minutes today 😂😂😂)

Gerbil “heatwave” behaviour

So i have just gotten back from holiday so have missed the heatwave of this last week. But of course my boys were at home. (Someone was looking in on them twice a day and i had cameras on them at all times) but i have noticed that they seem to have opened up the entrances to their burrows massively (which they never do usually you could see them digging on the cameras) makes me wonder if its been done purposely to let air through (i might be over thinking it there) i mean there is a huge pile of bedding to one side now but thats their design choice 😂😂.

Either way they seem to have adapted well to the temperature change. Has anyone seen this before or have your gerbils done anything to keep cool

Photos attached of a couple of the expansions and gerbil tax at the end. The greeting i got the moment i called them 😂😂😂.

He had one assignment stand and be “normal” for ONE picture

He is 31 years old and knows exactly how to take a nice picture. I wanted one 😂😂😂 honestly they get worse as they get older.

Especially after he had a bath with his favourite shampoo (lavender) and the fluffy brush this is how he repays me 😂😂😂😂

Big big clean out means gerbil exploration is needed

Boys got a big big clean out and a new lay out today. So naturally it means eric and Ernie are currently exploring and rearranging all of my work. Bit annoyed that i ran out of bedding at the end. But that will be topped off when the bale arrived in a few days. Then they can explore some more then
