Go S: Anyone using CachyOS over SteamOS? Advantages? Any reason to use it if I am reasonably happy with SteamOS?

My main complaint with SteamOS on the Legion Go S at this point is custom performance profiles and TDP slider not working as expected/all of the time.

Is CachyOS better? Anyone using it over SteamOS

Good way to troubleshoot/test the APU in my Legion Go S to see if it’s malfunctioning or if it’s something else? (SteamOS)

I don’t want to start a warranty claim without knowing there’s an actual hardware issue, but I’m not sure how to narrow that down.

I’ve been playing two games recently, re-playing Bioshock Infinite, and making my way through RE: Requiem.

Both run really smoothly, but anywhere between 30-45 minutes of play there’s a chance I get a full system freeze with a bit of technicolor static on the screen. I reset the system and then I’m playing again.

It’s always a full freeze, never visual artifacts or weird stuff that persists while the game keeps running. This is what makes me think it might not actually be a defective APU, but something else?

I’ve messed with different versions of proton and am on the verge of doing a full clean new recovery image system install of SteamOS, but first wondering if anyone had ideas for a stress or other type of test I should maybe do first.
