Went through the FOIA process with our county attorney and local PD

The process with our local PD went reasonably well. That information led to the county attorney (Warren County, IA) and I sent a FOIA request to him. That met with absolutely no response to the first letter for 10 days, and no response an email for another 10 or so. I finally sent a registered letter and finally got a response/non-response that pointed to Iowa code as a reason not to respond to 90% of it.

While the county attorney process was going on, I suddenly lost my ability to share or comment on Facebook posts. No notification, no nothing. Finally got an error message that said that I was banned from posting until August.

Then I noticed that a community Facebook page that was discussing Flock suddenly removed (or had removed) a very, very active post Coincidentally (or not), our local PD is considering renewal of a contract with Flock this year.

Edit: it is possible that my ban was coincidental, though I’m not a stranger to the FB community standards process and this was unlike any of my other experience. If I had to guess at alternatives , given the community Flock discussion deletion, it could have been related as people were actively discussing removal by nefarious means. The only thing I posted there was related to the FOIA process and I obviously wasn’t going to suggest removal by anything other than legal means in that thread.
