S5 Ending: Kim, Lalo, Nacho
Kim's reprimand was the final kick that got Lalo to trust Nacho before the night in Chihuahua. Lalo knew she made good points: he had just trusted a complete stranger over his right-hand man, and Kim made him realize how few real friends he had. The day after, he's trying to buddy-up with Nacho and even vouching for him to the Don. It's Lalo, so it is hard to gauge if he's being genuine, but he seemed to try forming an actual connection in the fireside scene before Nacho opens the gate. Insomnia's a bitch (even if he tries to act hard about it), and I can't remember Lalo talking about himself at all before this. Genuine trust perfectly winds him up for the maximum emotional impact of Nacho's betrayal. And it makes us truly fear for the cast. What a spectacular way to end the season.
