Qualifications and Strategies for a Fresh Grad
Hello all! Just finished a BSc CS with Cyber degree from a Russel Group university (just means a decent university) in the UK, and was looking for some qualifications to set myself apart from the mass of new hires in the market, I live in London so lots of opportunity but also lots of competition!
I already have a few personal projects on my github, along with my capstone, and was thinking of setting up a home network over the summer? I know a lot of people have been saying the best route is through connections and recommendations from acquaintances, and I'm quite fortunate that my father is a data scientist at a fairly large company in my city, worth hounding him for advice at least?
Have also been doing some research and apparently the CompTIA Security+ is a pretty widely respected qualification for my CV, along with the Hack The Box CPTS, and PortSwigger BSCP, was wondering if anyone here could confirm, and potentially give some alternatives or additions to help me get my first job? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
