Over the last year I have been looking to upgrade my EDC and Concert/Venue Sling.

I have been using a Nomatic Access Sling for the last 2 Years and it has served me well but a few items have started to bother me.

• Pros: Great size, easy to get into with a wide opening, wide strap and never an issue at concerts or sporting events. Holds most of what I need and has held up well.
• Cons: AG zippers, no front pocket, non removable strap and I have a need for and extra internal pocket.

Ideal that I was hunting for, and never really found.

• Three pockets, all with zippers, hard to find on a small sling.
• Sized for concerts and sporting events, out there but then many of my other wants were not there.
• Removable strap so I can use it as a pouch when I travel. I like traveling with two slings as a larger one (Aer Pro Sling) as my plane/personal item and then my bag overhead (TB T30/GR GR2 40l)
• Have the ability to use the ability to use the asking strap I already have four the Aer Sling
• Some organization but not too much, yes this is very subjective
• Wide opening so it is easy to get into
• Made of a material that is flexible for packing
• Loop on the front, why not for some fun patches if I want

Solution:

• I tried multiple and did all the research, as many of us on this thread do. I have multiple slings to sell because of it. I didn't find what I wanted so i decided to go a different path and find a sling and have it modified. Recently I saw a review of the TomToc T33 1.5 and thought it had enough of what I wanted, plus the price was right if I didn't like it after.
• I grabbed one, packed it out and it worked for what I had.
  • The material was good and it opens well enough.
  • Can pack like a brick if full, not a slim as the Nomatic
• So I went to the in-laws (does all the sewing projects for the family and for fun) and put in my modification request.

Changes made: Nothing ground breaking but enough to make it what I want.

• Cut off the strap and made loops to fit the strap I use for the Aer Pro Sling
• Cut of the key leash in the front pocket and made a loop if I want to clip keys or tracker tag to it
• Added a loop panel to the front of the sling

Result:

• Happy with the result and will it be added to my EDC for summer concerts and daily use.
• Great little sling, even not changed, especially for the price point.
