Found young boys on ex's phone, want to take evidence to police.

Location: Kentucky (soon to be Ohio)

Back in February, I had asked my now ex-fiancé to see his phone because he'd been very secretive with it for months. When I went through his phone (specifically Tumblr) I found a slew of liked images that consisted of naked and nearly naked boys - very clearly pre-pubescent/barely in high school.

I'm in the process of moving and financially separating from him in terms of apartment, car, and insurance... but I want to report him to the police once I am fully no contact from him. After I saw what was on his phone, I went back into his phone and took a video of his Tumblr account (w/o his knowledge). It is currently in a locked and hidden folder that i havent touched since taking the video. My therapist told me that I should delete it because it means that I am in possession of that content (which i do understand what shes getting at). However, it is proof of what is on his phone (in case he tries to scrub any instance of the account) and I want to know if it's something I can take to the police without myself getting in trouble or do i simply delete it and not tell them i even have that kind of evidence in the first place.

I would also like to know what legal action would or could even be done about having those pictures on his phone - by that I mean yes it's absolutely disgusting content for a grown man to consciously like and have a whole social media account dedicated towards, but it's not like...CP/CSAM you know?

Thanks for any help/advice that you can give!
