Wanted to share how I managed to get Forza Horizon 6 running on Bazzite, in case it saves someone else the time and headaches I went through.

OS:              Bazzite Wayland KDE (version: 44.20260515)
GPU:             NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
NVIDIA driver:   595.71.05
Game settings:   Medium with DLSS on, running at roughly 60-80 fps

Follow Fitgirl instructions to:
- Install the ElAmigos update
- Copy the online fix files to the main game folder
- Edit steam_appid.txt and change the value to 480

Then following this repo:
- Delete amd_ags_x64.dll, rename amd_ags_x64_rne.dll to amd_ags_x64.dll
- Delete xgameruntime.dll, rename xgameruntime.rne to xgameruntime.dll
- Download version.dll and version_rne.dll from the repo and move them in the main game folder

Finally:
- Install proton-cachyos-11.0.20260506-slr-x86_64 for Steam (Theoretically newer versions should work too) using ProtonUp-Qt (Can be found in Bazaar)
- Launch Steam, add forzahorizon6_loader.exe as a non Steam game and then under Manage > Properties > Shortcut, paste in launch options:

PROTON_HIDE_NVIDIA_GPU=0 PROTON_ENABLE_NVAPI=1 PROTON_VKD3D_HEAP=1 VKD3D_CONFIG=enable_experimental_features,descriptor_heap WINEDLLOVERRIDES="version=n,b" %command%

- Under Compatibility check "Force the use of specific Steam Play comparability tool" and select:
proton-cachyos-11.0.20260506-slr-x86_64
