Was it worth it?

Was it worth it?

I want to know if your remodel was worth it to you. My wife and I are about midway through a complete remodel of our kitchen. From the studs out. We live in a house built in 1952. The kitchen cabinets were original to the house. Basically built onto the walls and very few of them. Going thru this process is unbelievable, from finding a General Contractor to finding a kitchen designer. We have learned a lot along this process. there is nothing fast about it. From permits, sub-contractors, purchasing products, meeting local codes, general disruption to your daily life. Our general deals with all sub-contractors. They only have 2 full time employees, another lesson learned. Our kitchen designer is a one person operation, lesson learned. You fit into their busy schedule at their time alotted schedules. Both of the companies we are using came highly recommended. Should have done more homework. We are upgrading everything. The real only easy part was buying appliances. We knew beforehand what we wanted and where we intended to buy them from. I am just asking if you thought the effort was worth it what you learned along the project.
