Admission issues
Hello! I’m wondering if anyone else has had the same issue. I received a conditional offer for a Bachelor’s in Economics and Business Economics, with the condition being that I get my IB Diploma. However, I will only receive my diploma on July 6th, when my final grades comes out. Only then will I fulfill the condition and be officially enrolled.
The university requires me to pay the tuition fee and estimated living expenses ( special requirement for Chinese citizens) before June 15th in order to start the visa application process. This puts me in an awkward situation, as I don’t know whether I am officially enrolled yet, but I still need to pay a large amount of money.
I also have a conditional offer from Tilburg University with different conditions, so I would like to decide which university to attend based on my final grades. Paying tuition fees for both universities before knowing whether I am fully enrolled seems ridiculous.
What would be the best way to handle this situation? Is it possible to pay the tuition fee for one university in advance and later transfer the visa process to another university if I decide to change after receiving my final grades? Thanks!
