I wanted to hear how close the A2-Lite version could get to the A2-Full plugin in a melodic metal context, so I put together a 170 BPM backing track with a fast double-kick drum pattern, bass, and melodic metal feel.

For the comparison, I set the NAM Gain on the MG-30 to 85 to match the saturation level of the A2-Full plugin as closely as possible.

I really liked the result.

The A2-Lite gets remarkably close to the A2-Full in this setup, especially in a full-band context.

How close do you think the A2-Lite gets to the A2-Full here?

I've been testing the new NAM A2 Lite support on the NUX MG-30 (no conversions) and wanted to compare it with the A2 Full VST plugin using the same free Amalgam Marshall Super Lead capture from Tone3000.

To get a closer match, I increased the MG-30's NAM Gain parameter to 80. I was genuinely impressed with the results.

The video starts with a quick A2 Full vs. A2 Lite comparison, followed by a full-band demo using the MG-30 (including a lead scene with added delay and reverb). At the end, I also show how I installed the NAM and the preset settings.

Has anyone else compared A2 Full and A2 Lite on hardware? I'd be interested to hear your thoughts and whether you ended up tweaking the Gain parameter as well.

I've been testing the new NAM A2 Lite support on the NUX MG-300 MKII and was pleasantly surprised by the results.

For this demo I used a Diezel VH4 capture and compared it against the raw A2 model.

I've been testing the NBT-1 Bluetooth Module that comes with the Amp Academy Stomp, and I thought I'd share a quick demo.

The Bluetooth connection makes editing presets, controlling the looper, and making quick adjustments from the Monarch app much more convenient, especially during rehearsals or live gigs.
