New to Military and the benefits.
Shorten version: we have utilized the SRCA what other financial benefits can you advise us too? CPA’s??
Long Version:
My wife direct commissioned in, about a year ago. I know there are a lot of benefits to being active duty. We have talked to the financial coach on post. We have utilized the SRCA. We rent an apartment due to the kids have moved out. I travel for my work, not being home more than a few weeks every month or so. Trying to read up about all the necessary financial benefits. Along with whether we should invest in a four plex or something. My wife doesn’t want to deal with that. It’s May and she has only been in the apartment a total of about 6 weeks this year. The month of June she will be gone also.
Our youngest kid moved back to our home state to go to college. So that she wasn’t relocating in the middle. I would like to buy a place in our home state to have a “place”.
Our finances are not great. We have credit card debt. In our 40’s. Have been in great financial shape over the years. However right now we are in a rebuilding stage again. We make a lot of money though so by the end of the year we will be in better
