I need to cut 2 trenches out to this pavilion, each carrying 3 conduits/pipes. Roughly along the red line. The tree on the right of the pic is a Red Maple that was planted about 12 years ago. It’s currently ~8” in diameter at chest height. I can keep the trenches 12’ off the tree, but it would be best for it to be a bit closer. Any advice on how to pull this off without damaging the tree? And for the tree roots not to damage the pipes over time?

Finally have my pavilion done. The roof went on this morning! On to trenching….

She has been doing this since she was a puppy. Whenever the kids are playing, in our yard, the neighbors yard, the driveway, etc, she grabs a spot in the shade nearby and just lays there until they’re done. Is this something they all do?

Unfortunately, I only got the afternoons this weekend to work on the pavilion. Got about 1/4 of the roof decking done.

Didn’t get the entire structure done… still have the rafters and one pair of knee braces, but feeling pretty good with my progress!
