Was visiting my clarinet repair guy and they have this bassoon in (I send my bassoons to a bassoon specialist), Penzel Mueller bassoon. My guess is it's an old Kohlert or Riedl, the metal bell rind which looks original does surprise me - it's a beautiful finish. I may have to ask to try it out if the owner decides to sell it.
Playing around on my clarinets. Any recommendation for ligature and reed set up for an older Kaspar Cicero mouthpiece? I’ve tried various Vandoren strengths seems to like a regular 3 or 3.5, I have a BG and one of the Vandoren ligatures in my collection. Any experiences with one in particular for these mouthpieces? Normally I play an M13 lyre but wanted to get used to this Kaspar. Buffet Festival Clarinets for reference.
