If you’ve used the subreddit recently, you would notice the constant stream of posts about Joseph Jaurequi. Literally every other post has something to do with him. While I’m not going to ban posts relating to him, I would like to kindly request that as a sub, we limit the amount of posts relating to him. If people continue to spam post about him then your post will risk being taken down. I hope you can all understand this. Thanks

Most of us have had enough, if you can’t live without them, then leave. Exceptions can be made under certain circumstances. However, it will be on a case by case basis.

I’m gonna be blunt here, you guys NEED to stop posting reaction images, they’re really annoying and don’t add anything constructive to any of the posts. I’ve already been taking them down because it’s just the same dumbass images getting spammed to death. many of us have had enough. I feel that a minority of the sub will be mad at me for saying this because some of their lives rely on posting those images.

To those people I have one simple message: Posting reaction images is an unnecessary CHOICE you’re making. If you feel like your heart’s gonna stop if you can’t post reaction images, then you probably shouldn’t be on here in the first place.

Today we celebrate our liberation from the totalitarian clutch of r/youngpeopledeviantart though seriously, that’s actually why I made this sub lol

Basically around a year ago, r/ypda decided to get new moderators; a decision that would start the downward trajectory of their sub. Every. Single. Post, no matter how tame was taken down for any reason that the new mods could think of. Most people may just accept every single one of their posts getting taken down, but I’m not most people. I said to myself “you know what, if they’re gonna take down my posts, I’ll make my own sub where people can actually post stuff” to this day. I swear by that, and I will NEVER let our sub get like theirs. Mind you, I had NO experience running a subreddit (and still barely do tbh) I’m just one person who yearned for a free platform where we as a community can post what we want without authoritarianism getting in the way. TOGETHER, we have achieved that goal and have developed a great community along the way. Anyways, I hope you appreciated this semi-satirical speech. HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY 🎉🎉🎉
