70 mg dosage no longer feels effective. Should I ask my doctor about adding a booster?
Hello everyone! I’m new to this subreddit. I take 70 mg a day and barely feel it. Should I talk to my doctor about adding a booster of dextro? I want to give people some context about my experience with stimulants so that the replies are better tailored to my specific situation. For a couple years I took Ritalin but over time it seemed like it wasn’t working so we switched to Vyvanse. I will be honest, I have an extremely high tolerance to stimulants and other drugs (both recreational and medicinal). I am a former addict who has used coke and methamphetamines in the past to cope with my ADHD. I used to do high doses of these recreational drugs. Could that be the reason why my medication is not as effective? Maybe I ruined my brain idk? 🤷♀️ I would also like to add that I have tried Adderall before and it always seems to work better than Vyvanse. Maybe because Vyvanse is an extended release medication whereas Adderall is immediate release? Thanks for any advice you can give me 🙂
