Can I wait a couple weeks to put poly on my floor?
Hello I bought a house the previous owners painted white. I rented a drum sander and spent 2 days doing 2rooms. I did 36,60,80,100 grit. I need to do the corners but that’s all that’s left. I still need to do 1 more room, hallway and living room. I think we want to just go natural with the wood and use poly. If I rented sanders again next weekend and finished sanding, is it fine to just do the poly all at one time then? I kinda want to do the finishing all at 1 time. If not, should I just sand everything , then do a final full pass of 100grit right before I poly instantly after? Thanks for the advice. It’s just a long process because I not have so much time to work on it, and I’ve still got to dig out the white paint between the boards lol. Thanks for the advice.
