At this stage in my life, my commute is up to two hours each way. By the end of the week, you sit back and think.. wow, my work hours have increased by 50% just by being in traffic? No additional productivity, no additional reward. if you move closer, you pay more in housing. If you leave earlier.. the kid won't have a ride to school. Suggesting WFH to your employer is a mortal sin and finding a job closer to home is even tougher. Sheesh!
