So nice to see the English cheering for Spain during the WC final even after losing to them in the Euros. True sportsmanship.

Congratulations to Spain. Well deserved win.

Even though we lost to the best team in the world in Spain. I want to thank all the cry baby haters for making each and every win up to this point extra special. Your vitriol confirms how dominant we have been these past five years with Copa America and WC wins. Thank you, keep the hate in your hearts for 2030!

French and English attitudes towards third place game

French and English players and fans attitudes towards the third place game is very telling. With the way both teams went out they should be itching to show that it was a fluke. For being two of the most arrogant teams and fan bases they show very little pride and heart. They should want to win every single game, fight for every possession and defend aggressively. Instead you have egotistical players who can't be bothered to press and wilt under adversity. I couldn't believe how France reacted after going down 2-0 to a team that has owned them the past four years. They too easily accepted the outcome of the game. England lack real leadership on the pitch. Jude is the only player who shows heart and determination.

At this level the difference in ability is so minor that grit and determination end up deciding games.
