Anyone else’s dog like severely attached to them?

Miles here just hit a year old and is a stage 5 clinger if there ever were one. He follows me everywhere when I’m home. He’s not terrible when I’m gone from the house completely but if I’m outside in my yard or at my neighbors house and he can hear me or see me he just absolutely loses it trying to break the door down to get to me. And when I say this dog will hug me I mean he legit will just and hug me and not let go even if I was outside for 2 minutes.

And advice on what to do?

Miles just turned 1 and he’s just the sweetest thing and truly impressed me a few weeks ago.

My other dog Maizey has refractory epilepsy. She’s on 4 medications and still has seizures every few weeks. As you may know it can be a bit of a risk having another dog with a seizure dog because dogs are known to potentially attack those who have seizures due to their instinct to protect the pack. Part of the reason we decided to get a golden is their know sweet personalities. A few weekends ago Maizey had a seizure while we were out which is rare. We have cameras set up in the house to tell us. While watching the video we saw Maizey having a seizure and Miles just watching her, licking, and running to our door and barking seemingly trying to get help. He was never trained to do this and seeing him protect her by his own choice was just the best thing in the world.
