Hi friends,

Has anyone found success in physical therapy for CECS (specifically anterior and lateral compartments of lower leg)?

Also, any other Chicagoans here?

Good morning!
I was just diagnosed with bilateral CECS of the lower legs (anterior and lateral compartments) via pressure testing. My symptoms started around February 2026. I had quite rapidly gained ~50 pounds and started walking 0.5 miles a day after a period of being sedentary. The symptoms worsened and worsened to the point that I can't walk for 5 minutes without having to stop. My post exertional pressures were ~70+.

Do we think that losing weight could resolve my CECS symptoms?
