Promising research: Tremfya and Fistulas
My doctor told me about completed research from J&J on their newest drug Tremfya. For those with perianal fistulas, I highly recommend searching for a PSA called “Johnson & Johnson study shows TREMFYA^(®)(guselkumab) is the first and only IL-23 inhibitor to demonstrate efficacy in perianal fistulizing Crohn’s disease.” This drug may help many avoid surgery, and also prevent the type of perianal disease that causes fistulas. It is quite promising.
