Hello. I went to get my hba1c level checked yesterday and it came back as 5.8%. My past tests have indicated no more than 5.4. I am quite devastated as I am an 18 years old, 5’5 and 120 lbs which would mean I’m in a healthy weight range. Recently , I moved overseas so my diet has changed from relatively healthy to consisting of some fast food with minimal exercise.

Im so scared, I never thought I would be told I am prediabetic and now I’m so lost on what to do. ☹️

Edit: I should probably specify that the only diabetes in my family is one great grandparent
