Hello I am a K-12 Sub and I am Subbing for highschool my first time. I am subbing at this highschool for the week and the school is suppose to have a strict no phone policy. So I was really harsh on the no phone policy for first couple of periods, but I feel like I am fighting an hopeless uphill battle. I already punished a kid for repeatedly having their phone out by sending them to the office. I feel like I should just give up on the no phone policy, but I feel bad for punishing a kid already for having their phone out. So should I just give up on the no phone policy for the rest of the week or continue stressing myself out by battling with these kids? I just don't know what to do and feeling hopeless about it.
