I’ve collected dahlias for years and every season my Excel system eventually collapsed under its own weight. Too many varieties, too many beds, too many tabs.

This is the first time I actually feel like I can SEE the whole garden properly:

• what’s planted where
• which varieties I own
• bed layouts
• what still needs dividing or labeling

Still a work in progress, but it’s already made planning so much easier.

I have a fairly big dahlia garden and for years I tried keeping everything organised in Excel. It always ended up messy once the collection grew, with varieties scattered across sheets and bed planning getting pretty frustrating.

I’ve just started using Dahlialog and begun documenting some of my varieties and planning a few beds, and it’s already made things feel much more manageable. It’s nice having everything in one place and actually getting an overview instead of juggling spreadsheets.
