My thoughts about Sakura and why I'm not too disappointed anymore that she debuted compared to when she was announced.

Please note that I am not a native English speaker and may have some subtle errors. I don't have any friends who kept up with the show..or as analytic as I am so I don't have anyone to talk to about this lmfao. Feel free to set out your guys' opinions about this. This is also a repost because I accidentally left out something else I wanted to say lol.

Genuinely? The moment I saw her backstory, I was actually so baffled because how the heck does she live in a big modern house more expensive than the average Japanese home but doesn't have a mirror?

....

All jokes aside, I hope Sakura have been getting more training ever since the finale was filmed. I saw a post on TikTok - before the finale - saying that Prelude needed a member with a deeper voice, and the only choice if a member with a deeper voice is truly needed would be Sakura over Ayana. She's so out of place right now, but would definitely be better once she picks up her pace and learns English more thoroughly since it'll most likely hinder her training period even more as she struggles learning a totally new language🥹. I listened to Party B4 The Party's studio version, and she genuinely does sound so much better than she does live so I'll give her that.

I wanted either Ayana or Rinka to debut initially before accepting the fact that Sakura's bound to debut because they're two of the most experienced contestants in the show. But realistically speaking - the three prelude girls already sound very monotonous in a way that they all sound like one another. Adding Ayana would only make them even more monotonous all together which would pretty much prevent standout members from people who only listens on spotify and doesn't watch MVs. I'd like to believe that this was what they meant by Ayana blending in too much.. or maybe I'm just deluded. But with that mentioned, it really does deprive the group of having any standout members vocally at all since even though Samara is the group's main vocal, Lexie sounds like her, and Emily's starting to sound like her either.. and that's not exactly too positive when it comes to group music. But then adding Sakura actually adds more contrast with her deeper - huskier voice which I appreciate. Having four girls with similar vocals, although polished talentwise, would lack the texture shifts that makes tracks stand out and sound better. Yes, they would've sound better uniformly, but the group needed one (vocally) standout member and I believe it was the reason why Son picked Sakura instead of Ayana. I'm pretty much very disappointed that she was chosen over Ayana, but we need to look at the brighter side of this situation.

Sakura's a very sweet girl, and I could definitely see potential. She has star quality, that JUST SLIGHTLY surpasses Ayana's but their pretty much equal :DD. Right now, the only thing I'm worried about her being the final piece is that HybexGeffen would make her twerk on stage. I don't want to see a kid twerking, singing to intimate songs, etc. I appreciate all her efforts, and will support the four girls. I believe that it's very petty for majority of the people to not acknowledge Sakura at all. But we have different opinions, so I don't really care anymore atp.
