What's a good choice for protein?

I really don't want to give them the dead Worms,they make me unwell. Is there any substitution? I saw sometimes people on the subreddit giving snails fish food,Is that for protein or Just normal food?

I tried switching to opengl...it shows these things instead of the home screen and sits at 4 fps. In the screenshots that's all I tried. Should I search for another rom? is it a problem with eden? Smash bros runs beautifully in vulkan and opengl..
