I’ll preface this by saying I am by no means a coin collector, nor a person who’s knowledgeable at all when it comes to identifying any errors, so I apologize if im seeing a regular old beat up coin as something of value.
I do keep a look out for any somewhat interesting coins I find at work as I deal with a lot of coins on a daily basis(casino cage dealer)
Saw this one stick out because the ridge seemed clipped almost, and looking at it closer I saw two smoothed out crescents on the front. Only thought it might be anything special because the crescents on the coin were convex rather than indented, and I guess I’d assume if it were just wear and tear or ground down at all, it would be more indented. On the back side of the coin, I saw the rim of the coin where it looked clipped still intact, and I’d assume if it was due to wear and tear, that part of the rim would’ve just gotten clipped off.
Again, I apologize if I wasted anyone’s time on this post if it’s just a regular beat up coin, but would appreciate if anyone can clear up whether my assumptions might be valid or not😅
