My waves are making a comeback and I don’t know why?

So I used to have curly hair growing up, but I always straightened it. And for a while after that I thought my hair was just straight-ish. Imagine my surprise when I just got out of the shower, blow dried my hair, and all of a sudden it’s wavy?

I’ve been into hair care for a couple of weeks now, but this is the first time my hair played this trick? Does anyone know why?

I’ve used L’Oréal Hyaluron Pure shampoo and conditioner this time, but I’ve used it before and this never happened.

Help me unravel this mystery please? 🙏

Hi, I stumbled across this sub today, and I love to see the journeys of my fine-haired friends out there! Consider me INSPIRED. I’ve learned more in a few hours of doomscrolling here than I have in years.

I’ve had long hair for the sake of ‘loving long hair’ for YEARS. Also, I avoided getting haircuts, because that seemed very counterproductive to me. I now know it isn’t, don’t worry.

Anyway, I was feeling bummed out by my long but fine hair this past December, so I just decided to chop it all off. Honestly, it felt great for like the first week, mainly because it looked healthier. But I missed having long hair pretty quickly afterwards. So now I’m on a journey towards having long(ish), HEALTHY hair.

I haven’t changed all that much in my routine after the big chop of ‘25, apart from doing regular scalp massages (using rosemary oil every couple of days).

Also I was gaslit into thinking that I needed sulfate-free, parabene-free, and basically everything-free products. But again, I was inspired after browsing this sub and marched to the drug store as a newborn woman with a mission.

Here’s what I got:

- Dove scalp + hair therapy shampoo

- L’Oréal extraordinary oil conditioner

- Ogx bond protein repair leave-in conditioner (for before styling)

- Ogx coconut oil (to put in my hair before washing)

- L’Oréal extraordinary oil hair oil (because there was a 1+1 sale and I figured: why the hell not)

Since I’m literally starting today, I can’t say yet whether this combination of products work, but I’m happy to share updates if anyone’s interested.

Do you guys have any additional tips? And how am I doing so far? Thanks in advance!

P.S. excuse my dirty mirror
