Orihara has such a Goku vibe

Before you say I'm crazy just hear me out. I was thinking about the character of Orihara and how similar she is to the typical shonen protagonist, then I realized the similarities she has with Son Goku:

  1. Their attitude. Orihara and Goku are kind to everyone and even a little innocent. I say Orihara is a little innocent because she doesn't notice how Nagatoro is irritated by her attitude the majority of the time.

  2. They are underdogs. They both start like the weakest person on their group and have to climb until being the most powerfull of their kind. Goku starts as a low class saiyan with little to no potential and Orihara starts as someone so weak that Nagatoro easily won to her multiple times without even breaking a sweat.

  3. Their rivals are talented and tough persons with some difficulties to express emotions to the ones who most love. And their ego also crumbles after a defeat/defeats by the underdog.

Vegeta is the prince of Saiyans and the most powerfull and talented saiyan of his time (only below Broly). Their ego constantly gets challenged across Dragon Ball Z but I will pick in particular his arc in the Buu saga. In that saga, Vegeta formed a family but, because he missed his past as the prince of Saiyan and his ego was hurt by the events of the Cell saga, he had difficulties to express his emotions to his family. Even with the power Babidi gave him, he wasn't able to defeat Goku and, again, he was weaker than a low class saiyan he saw as inferior. Then, he realized how he messed up because he awaken Majin Buu so he decided to sacrifice himself to stop him. Only when he was about to sacrifice, he finally gave genuine affect and hug to his son Trunks.

Hayase Nagatoro is a prodigy from a family of athletes with great talent. She was so good in his sport and almost untouchable that his defeat against Orihara convince her to retire from Judo. She didn't wanna return to the sport because of the fear to losing. And also Nagatoro struggled a bit (too much) to embrace his romantic feelings with Naoto. It took the girl like up to 140 chapters to embrace it all.

  1. They live to figth. Son Goku always trains and is actively looking for new challenges. It doesn't matter if he doesn't see his friends in years just because he is training, is his passion. Orihara also does the same. She is only focused in her sport and is inexperienced in other areas of life. She doesn't know anything about romance and doesn't have so much friends like Nagatoro, she is just focused in reaching the Olimpics.

Maybe I overthink this too much but I do think this similarity of Orihara with a shonen protagonist was intentional from Nanashi. I think it was a way to show how powerfull she is. It's like Nagatoro has to figth the fcking protagonist of the game to earn his kiss.

I think this was too rushed

I think this scene doesn't make any sense. It's obvious this was to try to change the cruel dynamic these two had in the first two episodes but in the end it doesn't resolve anything and, in fact, gives a wrong message to the public.

This scene is from chapter 3 of the manga and I think it doesn't make any sense because at this point of the story Nagatoro didn't make anything good to Senpai. The only things she did was making him cry twice and mock him to no end. With Senpai saying that, the character stays like someone who just like to be treated like shit.

I know the dynamic changes after this because Nagatoro doesn't want Senpai to leave her but with that change comes another problem. This scene at the end gives a message to just let the problems be because eventually they will get resolved instead of doing a more grounded approach to the problem with the two talking about boundaries in their relationship.

Yeah, I know this episode was probably made to solve that early problem in the manga because, if not, Nanashi wouldn't be able to pay his bills but again, I think this was too rushed. Like, there was nothing Nagatoro did at this point that justify the decission of Senpai. Maybe I'm overthinking but this is something I didn't see anyone in these subreddit talk about and want it to share.

Bridge Spam Deck for Sudden Death

I've been trying to make a Bridge Spam Deck for the Sudden Death League and I think that something is wrong with this deck I made. I don't know what it is or maybe it's just a skill issue. Anyways, how would you rate this deck?
