My baby Queso died last night. She fell from the top of her cage, my fault, wasn’t watching her closely as I should’ve. The moment she plopped down, we pulled the cage out and she wasn’t moving or breathing. I’ll never forgive myself. She’s at peace now. We had played the entire day. I held her all night in my hands and kept her enclosed on a heating pad just in case but I think she’s definitely gone. She was my favorite and most cherished. A once in a lifetime gerbil. I don’t have anyone else to tell this so since not many people met her.
