I think he is inadvertently warning the world that he himself is gonna cause "the storm" i.e. the Tribulation.

Apparently, before the shooting, the shooter referenced Trump's Truth Social post where he referenced himself as Jesus healing people. The shooter posted on his Bluesky account (which has now been suspended) a verse from Revelation 14 (see image below) -

So I think, he thought Trump was the antichrist. The article below also states
