I’ve got a new job and the road to and from work is very busy. I had a problem at this mini roundabout today.
I am the red car, going straight on the main road.
The yellow car is on the main road, turning into Tesco.
The blue car is turning right out of Tesco into the main road.
We all arrive at the same time, all three of us sit still for what must have been 5/10seconds. I thought as no one was moving, I would as I’m on the main road. I AM AWARE VEHICLES TO THE RIGHT HAVE PRIORITY, DONT come for me, but at this point everyone had someone waiting on their right.
Me and yellow car move at the same time, they swing in front of me beeping their horn. I braked as soon as I saw them turn, and wasn’t going anymore than 8mph. I’m aware that they have priority, but after being at a stand still and we moved at the same time. As everyone had someone on their right.
My question is, what do I do next time? Is there a bit of the Highway Code I’m not clued up on? If there is can someone send it to me? I’m assuming the answer is I just wait until someone else (likely to my right) moves.
