RORA ARCH — The Art of Noticing · Digital Edition 01 · €10.99

I’m the creator of RORA ARCH — Visual Culture & Travel, an independent visual archive exploring objects, atmosphere, places, culture and travel on Instagram.
I’ve just released my first digital edition.
There’s also a personal reason I’m trying hard to get this edition in front of people: I need to raise €11,500 for an urgent cancer-related surgery.
Rather than asking for donations, I’m trying to reach the goal by selling my own work.
1,047 copies × €10.99 = €11,500

If anyone wants to verify my situation, I can provide redacted medical documentation privately by DM.

I’d be interested to hear how other creators would approach getting a small independent digital publication in front of its first 1,047 buyers.

I stopped trying to “see everything” when I travel. Here are 10 things I now look for instead.

What people repair instead of replace.
Where people choose to sit
What material repeats throughout a place
What changes at blue hour
What sound belongs to the place
What locals touch every day
What happens when you walk one street beyond the beautiful one
What disappears after sunset
What people do when nobody is watching
What you remember after the photographs fade

EDIT:
I’ve really enjoyed reading your thoughts here. This is actually why I created RORA ARCH, a visual archive of stories, places, objects and ways of seeing the world differently.

You’re welcome to visit us on Insta, where you’ll also find The Art of Noticing, a small digital edition created to help you notice and experience more when you travel. 🤍
