Okay CPAP People... What’s Your Favorite Mask/Setup and WHY?

I’m fairly new to CPAP (3 weeks in) and apparently I have decided to make finding the perfect setup my new full-time hobby. 😂

I’m a side sleeper, so my biggest enemy is the dreaded face/pillow/mask collision followed by:

PSSSSSSSSSS 💨👁️

I’ve been using the N30i and really LOVE the top-of-head hose, but the nasal cradle shifts when my face gets smooshed into the pillow. I’ve actually already tried nasal pillows and LOVED the seal, but they had that dreaded elephant trunk hose coming straight off the front of my face. 🐘😂 HARD NO.

So now I’ve ordered the P30i pillows to use with my top-of-head hose setup. I’m hoping this will finally be my perfect combination. I also switched from the silicone frame to fabric because it was pulling on the top of my head hair.

AND... I rigged my hose up over the headboard so it comes down from above me instead of dragging around the bed. GAME CHANGER! I’ll attach a photo because I’m pretty proud of my little CPAP engineering project.

The funny thing is, I actually LOVE wearing my CPAP. I find the mask and airflow weirdly soothing. A bit of a cocoon so I am determined to get this thing dialed in if it’s the last thing I do... and at this rate, it might be.

So tell me... what mask do you swear by? Are you a side, back or stomach sleeper? Nasal cradle, pillows or full face? And WHY is yours the winner?

I want to hear from the people who have tried them all! And what have you found to be an absolute CPAP MUST-HAVE?

1956 Martin Stern home caught in perfect morning light

Was out on my morning walk and caught my house in the most gorgeous light! Built in 1956, by Martin A. Stern, in one of the classic mid-century enclaves in the San Fernando Valley. Still has the original open beam vaulted ceilings and plantation shutters. So lucky to live in my dream home.
