Lost bag at Nara Deer Park today
So I was at Nara Deer Park today, which was amazing, but in the evening just before it got dark I had set my bag down by a tree while taking some pictures with the deer.
I wasn't far away but I turned to grab it and go and it was gone. There were some people around but not many.
I looked around, asked a few people, but yeah, nobody knew, and I couldn't find it. I went to a Koban and made a police report.
Question is this:
Are there spots around for lost items to be dropped off, or could it have been taken to a tourist center or one of the small Nara Park merch shops?
By the time I went down from the actual deer park, the shops were all closed and it was after 6pm.
Maybe a good Samaritan assumed it was already lost and would turn it in, and then it wouldn't be processed or found by police potentially until the next morning, if everything kinda closed already, right?
The other question is.....well, my bag had some cola in it, and food I had recently taken out.
Is it possible, or at all likely, considering the bag was not very heavy.....that a deer just picked it up and ran off with it?
I feel like that would be noticed too, but it's hard to say.
Any advice otherwise about this would be greatly appreciated.
I intend to go back tomorrow morning to check, I'll be in Kyoto or Osaka for the next few days still anyway.
