I use cashback rewards as my “slow living budget”
I’ve started doing something that helps me spend more intentionally.
When I buy something I genuinely need, I set aside any cashback or rewards I earn into a separate “slow living” fund.
I only use that money for items that truly improve daily life, like replacing a worn-out pan or buying one durable item after letting go of something I no longer use.
It’s a small habit, but it makes spending feel more deliberate and grounded. Instead of buying things impulsively, I wait until I can use that fund for something meaningful.
Has anyone else created a system like this to encourage more intentional spending?
